API 2.0

V2 APIs are now in beta! The 2.0 release includes support for uploading data statefully via cloud bucket; simplifies authentication to a single token; and cleans up many outdated fields.

February 2024 Emissions Model

The audio channel now uses the conventional emissions model instead of the power model on the presumption that 1) audio is often downloaded, not streamed, as with many podcasts and 2) if streamed, audio is often in the background or not the primary user of residential/device bandwidth. This change significantly reduces the emissions of the audio channel.

January 2024 Emissions Model

No significant changes were made in the January 2024 emissions model due to the holidays and the impending release of the v2 model.

The File Upload API allows clients to upload large files to the Scope3 platform. Two new schemas, Traffic and Media Delivery, are supported for cloud buckets and file upload. The Segment API provides a more powerful means for ad tech partners to integrate GMP standards and Climate Shield data as well as custom segments

October 2023 Emissions Model

The emissions model now supports digital out of home (DOOH) in closed beta, as well as Global Placement IDs (GPID). Climate risk is now calculated per-placement and mapped to sellers where possible.

September 2023 Emissions Model

The September emissions model has no structural changes and includes broader access to social and streaming audio measurement.
