October 2023 Emissions Model
about 1 year ago by Brian O'Kelley
The emissions model now supports digital out of home (DOOH) in closed beta, as well as Global Placement IDs (GPID). Climate risk is now calculated per-placement and mapped to sellers where possible.
Campaign Measurement API Changes for GPID
- (Preprecated - not ready for direct use yet) A new field,
gpid
, provides a more granular model for a specific placement on a publisher site. The model does not have strong coverage for GPID in this release but does map a generic GPID to ad networks that have a tag on the page (for instance, Teads). When a campaign is measured for a seller that is only in a tag-on-page container, we will model climate risk for the associated GPID. This means that climate risk will now change by seller on a particular property.
Campaign Measurement API Changes for DOOH
- The
channel
field now supports the valuedooh
(closed beta only) - A new field,
venueCategory
, provides a generic model for types of DOOH screens based on the OpenOOH venue hierarchy - New fields,
plays
andplayDuration
to specify the number of times a DOOH impression was played on the screen (vs impressions seen by people looking at the screens). Each screen registered in the Scope3 system has an average multiplier to convert plays to impressions if only one or the other is specified. - A new
mediaOwner
field which is required for DOOH as screen identifiers are defined per media owner and not globally unique.
